Deploy hooks
Webhooks that fire when a pipeline publishes an image or a push succeeds. Connect gittan to your deployment pipeline.
What deploy hooks do
A deploy hook is a webhook URL that receives an HMAC-signed event from gittan. The primary use case: notifying a Flux notification-controller Receiver that a new image was published, so your cluster pulls it immediately instead of waiting for the next scan interval.
Supported events
| Event | When it fires |
|---|---|
| image-published | A pipeline step publishes a container image |
| push | A push succeeds (with optional repo filter) |
Creating a hook
Go to Admin → Integrations or use the CLI:
gittan deploy-hook create \
--url https://flux.example.com/hook/abc123 \
--events image-published The HMAC secret is returned once on creation and never shown again. Copy it into your Flux Receiver's token field. gittan signs every payload with this secret so the receiver can verify authenticity.
Repo filter
For push events, you can limit which repos
trigger the hook with a filter pattern:
gittan deploy-hook create \
--url https://webhook.example.com/deploy \
--events push \
--repo-filter "api-*" Supports exact names, * (all repos), prefix*, and *suffix.
