← Getting started
Your first push
Install the CLI, authenticate, and push your first commit — with pipeline feedback in the terminal.
Install the CLI
curl -fsSL https://cli.gittan.eu/install.sh | bash The install script detects your OS and architecture and places the binary in ~/.local/bin. Add it to your PATH if it is not already there.
Authenticate
gittan auth login This opens a browser window for OIDC device-flow authentication. Once approved,
credentials are stored at ~/.config/gittan/credentials and refreshed automatically.
Configure git credentials
For HTTPS:
git config --global credential.https://git.gittan.eu.helper 'gittan credential' For SSH, add your key via the web UI at Settings > SSH Keys.
Clone and push
git clone git@git.gittan.eu:your-org/your-repo.git
cd your-repo
echo "hello" > README.md
git add README.md
git commit -m "feat: first commit"
git push Pipeline output streams directly to your terminal during push. You will see each step start, pass, or fail — no browser required.
